Not every student learns the same way. Drum lessons from Rich are individualized and catered towards the students needs. There is an endless supply of drum instruction on the internet and it is encouraged to explore and learn from many sources. One thing, however, you can’t get from watching videos is constructive critique. Many times a student will be playing something incorrectly or out of time and not realize what they’re doing wrong and how to fix it. Enter private drum lessons with Rich Degnars. He will guide you in a positive manor that builds skills as well as confidence.
Throughout his many years of teaching, Rich has created a method that involves specific books as well as numerous practice sheets written by Rich himself. The exercises found in these sheets are the result of years of teaching and have been designed for learning rhythm and how to apply it to the drum set.
There are many benefits to learning to play drums. It is well known that learning music helps a student academically, specifically math. It is an unbelievable coordination exercise that will help with sports and other physical activities. For older students, it’s a great way to keep the mind sharp.
